#3 Scores!

This past weekend was Easton's last weekend of fall soccer. We had taken the spring off and had a rough team situation last fall, so he really was sort of behind. He ended up on a team where he didn't know anybody again, but as usual he makes friends easily. He did fine, for the most part, but was often slow to use his skills. But every once in a while, he would show some of the fancy skills that Uncle Chad and Coach Todd taught him--then he would look like a real soccer player.

His team this year is the Razorbacks, and they have been a good team. They lost miserably in the first game, but have held it together and gotten better each week. This weekend was the tournament, which means games on Sunday if they progress. So we had told our coach we would only be playing on Saturday. Easton played a great game for the morning game--very strong defensively and moving the ball well. The team ended up winning 6-1 or something. Easton had a beautiful "should have been" assist--just missed by inches. Then for the second game, I couldn't go, I was frantically getting the family ready to go to Decatur for our new cousins blessing (another post), but I heard it was just as good a game--and Easton finally got his goal! Grandma and Grandpa B. were in town and loved seeing Easton play--and they reported that it was a great goal. The team won--so that meant on to Sunday games, but Easton did get the player of the game for the second game! The team ended up going on the the Championship game--and got 2nd. I think this will be Easton's 4th 2nd place trophy for soccer.

Way to go Easton! He looks like a pro in that action shot.

And I LOVE all the Halloween pictures on your sidebar. I remember quite a few!
