This was an exciting week for us. To actually start to really see the house take shape in a way that we can identify with. I ususally go by the house a few times a week while I'm out and about, but we have started going to the house on Saturdays as a family so everybody can see the progress. This past Saturday, I knew the plan was to have started framing, but due to some bad weather here, I didn't know what had actually gotten done. So when we started driving down our street and caught a glimpse of the house, Reed and both sort of gasped and then got huge smiles on our faces. We could non believe how much was done.

That's all for today. I'll need a do a whole post on this house later!
We spent some time walking around the house and actually walked into our foyer and all around the main floor. Not all of the framing was complete for the main floor and basement, but a lot of it was. The kids loved it and on the way home, Zoe kept saying "it's so exciting" over and over again!

We also got our current home actually listed and on the market. That is a huge relief, but now the added stress of keeping a home ready to show. So far it has not been bad, we had two showings over the weekend and both called and scheduled them the day before--so it wasn't a total last minute thing to get ready. We did have to go to church an hour early on Sunday, but all in all not horrible. With the snow this week, we haven't had anymore, but have two more scheduled for today. The great news is we have received all good feedback, so it would seem that the work to get the house ready has helped and it is showing well. It is a somewhat emotional thing to prepare to leave this house, we have so much family history here and it has been a great home. These are pictures I took last week while it was "show ready"--so at least in my memory I have a super clean home!

I think I should clean my house and take pictures just to make me feel better when I see what it REALLY looks like on a daily basis.
Hey, looks great. I am so excited for you. I hope that you are feeling better. I will call you today. Anxious to hear how the weekend went.
It's so fun to see progress in your new house--I loved that when we were building. Your old house is darling and so clean. Good luck with the selling process.
I know your current home with sell in an instant. I have always loved it. It also was so fun to see the progress of your new home. Can't wait to see the finished product!
