Saturday's Outing

To break up the monotany of unpacking and house projects, we went to the LaGrange farmers market on saturday morning. It was a lot of fun. I had never been to a farmers market in KY, and when I'd been to them in other places they were HUGE. This was just in the courthouse grass, but it was so fun and there was a good selection to pick from. The kids loved it--we got farm fresh eggs, and lots of fun produce and some local honey! Although Zoe has been plotting ever since on how to get a kitten--no such luck baby girl!

Reed made fun of me to setting the stuff out all together when we got home and taking this photo--but it was so pretty, I left most of there until dinner and we ate half of it. We had fajitas with all the peppers and a yummy salad for dinner saturday and then on sunday we had Steak or Fish, with steamed cabbage, corn on the cob, fresh beans, roasted potatoes for dinner. I got tomatoes and avacados to make my chopped salad this week and have one green tomato to try fried green tomatoes.

I think it is cool that you took a picture of the food. It sounds like a great place for produce.

Welcome back! Your house looks beautiful. What a pretty lot. Post more pics when you get a minute, the finish work looks so nice. You have such good taste. Moving is always a drag, but it sounds like you guys have had quite the summer. That is so funny about the food storage. I hope things settle down for you now.

I miss that farmer's market. I don't know if you remember, but I used to work behind the courthouse in the county jail right there. I usually went in on Saturday mornings when the market was going. I bet you didn't realize that beautiful red brick building also houses about 100 inmates. Don't worry, go back for more produce, they were mostly harmless.:)

Looks yummy Heather. I was so excited to see you had a new post. I love love farmers markets. The ones here are great and there are all kinds of baked goods and Misc. for sale as well. Your house is so pretty. Congrats and good for you guys. It will be about 10 years before you see a post about a house from me. Have fun with it!
