Too late for an idea?

Ok, I never got this posted last march, so maybe I can post for a fun idea for tomorrow.  I may have missed the window on that too--oh well.

So I started this last year--a totally green lunch in the lunch boxes.  It was fun for me and for the kids.

And I got this darling idea from my friend, Jenni.  We make them for the teachers and a few other friends.
This year I got the mint kisses that they had just for St. Patrick's day, but I also saw the idea to get the christmas ones on clearance and save the red wrapped ones for Valentines and the green ones for St. Patrick's Day.

No pictures of this, but we will do a fun dinner.  Always some sort of traditional meat (can't do beef this year cause Reed is actually home) but with yummy potatoes and steamed cabbage.  We also get the Irish Butter as Costco and yummy bread--that is the kid's favorite part.  And probably the Mint Brownies for dessert.

I wish I would have had more time the past weeks for crafting and such, there have been some darling ideas around.  Some of my favorites are here.

PS--I forgot that my new blog design was half done--but it may stay that way until I get better with my new mac.  Not sure I can make a new header.  And I've missed three of my  one-to-one visits with everybody being sick.

Okay, so you're going to be so surprised when you see I got to your blog! A few more weeks & my life will be much less complicated and I can play more - catch up on all blogs! Loved the Cruise pictures and the fun St Patricks ideas. Hope all is well with all of you. I think often of the fun time I had there. Give my love to your family!

Cute lunch, I did the same thing. Couldn't believe how excited the kids were. We had green pancakes this morning and I think the mint brownie idea will be a must. thanks for sharing.

Very cute idea. I will have to remember that when it comes time for my kids to go to school.

I ran across your blog through a comment you left at 2 Clever (I love it 2)

I spent a little bit of time checking out your family (I promise I am a completely normal, non stalker mother of 4) and have enjoyed reading a bit about your adventures.

I loved seeing your cruise pictures. We must have gone on a similar cruise - we made stops in Cozumel, Roatan and Belize. We saw and did some of the same things you did. Great trip, huh?

Okay, really cute idea. Also, I'm way behind on blogging comments, and I'm may have already responded to your question. Sorry, life is crazy. Anyways, my mom is a Burt. I remember having this discussion at a scrap booking night at your house once, and I think we decided we could be distantly related. My grandfather is Ralph Burt, he spent most of his life in Brigham City, UT and Washington state. His great-grandather who "started it all" was John Davidson Burt, who came over from Scotland (late 1840's). If there's a tie, I have some of his amazing autobiographical stories in my computer.
