Easton has had some fun events in the past couple of months that I haven't documented yet. In January we had the Pinewood Derby--this is his second one. His car was really cool and he and Reed had a fun time making it. Easton was very specific about what he wanted. He raced well--although it wasn't looking good when he lost his first two races--but as it turned out, he raced the 1st and 2nd place cars in those two races. They only announced the 1st-3rd places, but we think he got an unofficial 4th.
Easton is having a fantastic year at school--straight A's on his last report card. He is on the Problem Solving Team at school and doing his scouts. We didn't play soccer this spring with all the house stuff--I wasn't sure if I could keep up with everything. He is full of energy and I think a little bored--he speeds through everything and always has free time. He is still reading everything in his path. Right now it is the Red Wall series of books. He loves to do the Accelerated Reader tests and has almost 500 points for this school year. Easton's only flaw is that he knows how awesome he is and likes to remind others if he thinks they forgot!

Wow, and is he good-lookin'. You can tell him I said that. Love you Easton.
I've loved getting to know Easton through Cub Scouts. He is a very sweet boy, and definitely does speed through things. He told me all about the Red Wall series and how much he loves to read. And I was so proud of him earning his Bear badge. He's a great example, and a great friend to all those I've seen him interact with!
Such a cute boy with a darling personality. I was lucky to be his primary teacher long ago. Good times. Fun to catch up.
You know how much I love those Deshler boys (and Zoey). Easton is an awesome friend and scout to our whole pack. He DID get fourth place (tied with Ben) in the pine-wood derby!!! Way to go Easton. And way to get your Bear way before your 10th birthday.
Great pictures!
