End of School--Zoe

Zoe actually ended school at the beginning of May, but I'm just getting around to writing about it. Her activities started as soon as I got back from Lincoln.

She had a Derby race and party at school. She is such a party girl and will take advantage of any reason to have a party. But she also really loves horses. I guess that is fitting as she is a real Kentucky girl--not just a transplant like her mom. They had some Derby races of their own with their stick horses and hats they made.
Zoe had such a great year--great teachers, awesome school. I know it was a blessing to find it at the last minute last year--it was just perfect for her and for our schedule.

The End of School Family Picnic--Aunt Michelle and Luke & Ty were here to go with us.
The school had an adorable graduation program. It was during the day and Reed was in town, so just he and I went and were able to spend that time with Zoe. She had some special assignments--one was handing out programs at the beginning. She did such a great job. The had several songs they sang and it was a real cute program. I recorded one of the songs, but I have no idea how to post it.

Zoe had such a fun year. She loved having classmates and teachers and really made friends with everybody. When I would go into the school, she loved to show me around and was always working hard to follow the rules and help out. Her teachers told me they are convinced she will be a teacher someday because she was always "helping". Once I ran into another of the moms at Target and she told me how her son had gotten hurt on the playground and Zoe was the classmate that went to help him. It made such an impression on the little boy that she was the only girl invited to his birthday party. Everyday she would tell me where her friends were and if they were not at school she would worry about them until they returned. She has such a gift for making friends. She is so ready for Kindergarten and even though she will be young, her teachers agree.
