Because I was out of town when they put the insulation in, I only got these couple of photos. I thought the blow in orange stuff they put around all the windows and pipes was cool.
All the scaffolding for the drywall. It was so fun to walk into all the rooms and see actual walls, instead of just imagining them around the studs.

The drywall is ready for the trim work!

The front door goes up!

Detail trim work--the columns, stairs and crown molding is almost finished.
The drywall seems to go up fast and then we had a week or so of getting it ready--so no new pictures. But this is right after Mother's Day. Reed and the kids planted me a dogwood out at the new house for part of my Mother's day gifts. It was the best! It was wet and rainy on Mother's day so we didnt' get any photos that day, but Zoe was with me this day when I was out there.
They started on the deck.

That's all the photos for May. It didn't seem like a lot for a whole month, but the changes were big and a lot of it took a while. I can't believe how much time they spent doing trim, etc.

How exciting!! Everything is looking great. I can't wait to see the final product. It's amazing how much work goes into building a home.

Yeah Heather. There is nothing like a clean fresh new home. Good for you guys.
I know you are probably not on the computer, but I wanted to make sure that I wished you a happy birthday and that you knew I was thinking of you. I hope your day was wonderful.
