Today's Random Thoughts

Today I just have too many different thoughts. I've been trying to decide what to post about.

1--Obviously I've been playing with the design a little. My friend Kathryn told me about this blog that she heard about from Lacey that has premade designs. She actually has one that was just was I was thinking of, but then I saw the fun holiday ones. We will go with my original colors and ideas in Jan. Fun blog to check out : blog designs So this should hold me over till I can be personally tutored by my more proficient blogging friends--you know who you are. Thanks be being willing.

2--I intended to do a fun fall recipe. The weather here has finally felt like fall, but I'm out of time to go copy a recipe. I will soon!

3--Today I was able to talk to a few girl-friends, one for little bit while we worked on her daughters Halloween costume (so cute!). I'm so grateful for people around me who get me and value what matters most in my life and theirs. I am admittedly not the most soft-hearted mom around (I see how sweet and tender other moms are and I'm really not--all the time), but I love my family and I love doing what I'm doing with my life. I feel such a sense of purpose, that even when it's hard, I don't feel bad it's hard, I just feel bad I'm not better at it (yet). I know I sometimes need a break from the long days of mothering, and I'm so glad that I have such wonderful women around me who know I need that, but still help me come away from the time with them ready for more mothering. I guess what I'm saying is they help me be better at what matters most, and they don't distract me or make me want the things that would pull me away from my family. Don't know if this makes sense.
