Yesterday was our anniversary. It's so hard to believe it's been 14 years since we got married. I know Reed will be mortified if I write anything mushy, but this is part of our life I want to document.
As we went about our day yesterday--birthday party for Zoe to attend, "finish" celebrating Collin's birthday with Dad, Lazer Tag with Collin's friends, a handful of saturday/holiday errands, a meeting to fit in while Reed was in town, getting Reed's work Holiday cards done and ready to mail, it seems weird to remember what our wedding day was like. Seemed like then it was SO busy--although ours was a pretty laid back wedding day compared to others--but nothing compared to the real life you can't hardly imagine as you are starting out.
Sometimes I remember how what I looked forward to most about being married was just the ordinary stuff, especially when the ordinary stuff is pushing me off the edge. But I'm so grateful I'm on this journey with Reed. We were so young, in many ways we have grown up together and I love the history we now share!
PS--For those who care, we are going to get a night out to celebrate our anniversary alone.

Congrats! That is a big milestone to cross. We just had our 14th in August.
You should go back up to Chicago to celebrate!
Happy Anniversary! I agree with Melissa, book a trip up north and really live it up! Have a wonderful night out together, wherever you are!
